In a national spelling contest in America,an 11-year-old girl was asked to spell

resolved that he would walk. He started to do this every day until he wore a smooth

path all around the yard beside the fence. Finally through his daily massages, his

(D) Once upon a time, the animals decided that they must do something heroic to meet the problems of “a new world”. So they organized a training school. They adopted an activity curriculum (课程) consisting of running, climbing, swimming and flying. To make it easier to manage the curriculum, all the animals took all the subjects. The duck was excellent in swimming, in fact, better than his instructor, but he made only passing grades in flying and was very poor in running. Since he was slow in running, he had to stay after school and also drop swimming in order to practice running. This was kept up until his webbed (脚蹼) feet were badly worn and he was only average in swimming. But average was acceptable in school, so nobody worried about that except the duck. The rabbit started at the top of the class in running, but had a nervous breakdown because of so much make-up work in swimming. The squirrel was excellent in climbing until he developed frustration in the flying class where his teacher made him start from the ground up instead of from the treetop down. He also developed a “charley horse”(肌肉痉挛)and then got a C in climbing and a D in running. The eagle (鹰)was a problem child and was disciplined severely. In the climbing class he beat all the others to the top of the tree, but insisted on using his own way to get there. At the end of the year, an abnormal eel (鳗) that could swim very well, and also run, climb and fly a little, had the highest average and was the one who gave a good-bye 小学+初中+高中+努力=大学

Keep your body healthy Making healthy lifestyle choices can do wonders for your moods. Ever heard of a "runners high"? Physical activity can be as effective as medications (药物) for depression, so get involved in sports, ride your bike, or take a dance class. Any activity helps! 68 As for food, make sure you’re feeding your mind with plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Avoid alcohol and drugs. You maybe try drinking or use drugs in an effort to escape from your feelings and get a "mood boost," even if just for a short time. However, substance use can not only make depression worse, but can cause you to become more depressed. 69 You will need special treatment for your substance problem.
70 Stress and worry can lead to depression. Talk to a teacher if exams or classes seem overwhelming(压倒一切的). In addition, if you have a health concern you feel you can’t talk to your parents about, see a doctor. A health professional can help you approach your parents and guide you toward appropriate treatment. If you’re dealing with relationship, friendship, or family problems, talk to an adult you trust. A. Ask for help if you are stressed. B. The more exercise you do, the healthier you will be. C. Even a short walk can be beneficial. D. Turn to your parents for help. E. Dear David, Long time no see! I miss you very much. I’m writing to express my thanks for your help during the seven-day summer camp.

What is more, while visiting some tourist attractions, you volunteered to be my guide and showed me a lot of American culture, which broadened my horizons. Not only did I learn a lot about American culture, but also I made good American friends. It was really a wonderful experience!
By the way, would you like to join the summer camp in China this year? I’d like to be your guide and you can experience some Chinese culture and customs. I am sure you would have a great time. 小学+初中+高中+努力=大学
